*Software Savings for Scottish Education from Education Scotland
Pursuant to public announcements made in autumn 2010, Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS) has amalgamated with HMIE and their existing educational functions within the Scottish Government from the 1stJuly 2011. As such, the functions of LTS were formally transferred to Education Scotland on 1stJuly 2011. As part of this process, Education Scotland will be continuing to make available the software licensing schemes to all education within Scotland.
These licensing schemes are unique to Scottish education and allow schools, colleges and local authorities to make massive savings by purchasing software at discounted rates with no minimum purchase required.
Please note there is no change to the address for submission of Purchase Orders. Purchase Orders should be sent to Education Scotland, Customer Services, Floor 9, The Optima, 58 Robertson Street, Glasgow G2 8DU.
Software licensing schemes that continues to be available from Education Scotland include:
Microsoft- Education Scotland continues to offer Microsoft Select to schools and local authorities including Microsoft Office and Office Pro, Windows Upgrade, Windows Server, Visio Standard etc. All you need to do is to purchase the number of licenses you need and a CD with the software if required. Adobe- the most cost effective way for schools, colleges and universities to purchase Adobe products. Similar to the Microsoft Select Scheme, schools, colleges and universities can purchase the number of licenses required and if you need the CD to install the software. Under this scheme you can purchase Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Creative Suite Master Edition, Dreamweaver CS, Adobe Flash, Adobe Premiere and many, many more.
